Although I would like this to be a little clearer, there is not quite enough room to make it big enough for that. But I want to show it to you anyway.
This is my Registered Piano Technician certificate from The Piano technicians Guild. You don't get it by paying someone for it. You have to study ...

In addition to being a piano tuner, I am also a Dampp-Chaser Certified Installer.
Dampp-Chaser, the Piano Life Saver System, does save the lives of pianos. In my estimation it is one of the best piano maintenance products ever made. Too much or too little humility inside of your piano is destruc...

This picture is of a Wurlitzer spinet I serviced this week. It has too much lost motion. That means that you have to press its keys so far down before the hammers begin to move that you have to work really hard to get a solid forte. And the feel of the key when you play it is weak and beggardly, ...

About us

Hi. I am Dick Barber. I am a Registered Piano Technician (RPT) as a member of the Piano Technicians Guild (PTG). The RPT certification is awarded to PTG members who successfully complete a number tests, both written and hands one. I am also a member to the Master Piano Technicians (MPT), another fine organization for piano technicians. I do mostly in home care of pianos -- pitch raising, tuning, repairs, regulation, installation and maintenance of the Piano Life Saver humidity control system. When I find a piano that needs a service which is outside of the scope of the services that I offer, I am happy to connect you with one of my  respected colleagues who will be able to give you the help that you need.
